Getting Started 

Visitors considering joining the club will train for free on their first visit.
 

Recommendations: 
1. Dress for the weather in clothing similar in color that you would wear hunting. 

2. Watch a few NAHRA Hunt Test Videos on YouTube. This video is a great introduction to the program. 

3. Assess where you and your dog are in your training against the NAHRA stake descriptions.

Things to bring with you: 

• A place to keep your dog out of the elements when not running. It is not always possible to park in shaded areas where we train. We recommend investing in a sunshade, portable fan, and a vented crate to keep the dog comfortable and safe.

• Lots of water for you and the pup

• Duck Call (If you don't have one we can call for you)

• Whistle 

• Slip Lead 

• Shoes / Boots suitable for wetland environments

• Tick Spray 

• Chair
